Research in Progress

MCS Professor John Jennings and his collaborator Damian Duffy, who recently published an adaptation of Octavia E. Butler’s Kindred (2017), have just signed a two-book deal to adapt the novels from Butler’s Parables series: Parable of the Sower will appear in 2019 and Parable of the Talents in 2021.

Philosophy Professor Eric Schwitzgebel is currently working with Rich Horton and Helen De Cruz to put together an anthology of previous published SF stories, provisionally titled Best Philosophical Science Fiction in the History of All Earth.

Theatre, Film, and Digital Production Professor Robin Russin has recently won an award for "Best Short Script" at the X World Film Festival, an IMDb-qualifying Festival for independent filmmakers from all over the world. He co-wrote the screenplay Adagio for Mr. Chips with Pete Nelson.
